Abhay Deol is back after no films in 2013.
His last critically acclaimed role in the superb and dark 'Shanghai'.
That was way back in 2012. He also starred in 'Raanjhanaa' in the same year. But that was more of a special role. The film was a decent hit, though his role was judged as 'meh'.
Then there was 'Chakravyuh' by Prakash Jha. While Abhay Deol was the lead in this one, the film was panned by critics and a commercial flop.
Prakash Jha does have a reputation for hard-hitting cinema, he suffers from the same problem as Madhur Bhandarkar - every film is grander, but less powerful, than the last.
So this time not only does Abhay have to prove some lead role ability to remain as a player in Bollywood, but the film is definitely personal as well.
Not only is Abhay paired up with his real life girlfriend, the smoking hot Preeti Desai, but he is producing the film as well with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
